The Colour Of Sound

The Colour of Sound is an exhibition of music visualisation exploring alternative models of music-image relationship in print and video art, investigating how the boundaries of design can be challenged, both practically and theoretically, by a redefined audio-visual interaction.

Where alot of corresponding music visuals are inspired by the emotion and mood of a track, this particular study is concerned with the data side of music, and how this data correlates into a design perspective. The idea of music data producing design was the fundamental prospect behind the project.

Surely if the intricacies behind the process of musical composition are wholey creative, then designs produced from the data of the music will be similarly creative, and potentially reflect this process in a colourful, abstract and interesting aesthetic format?
